Between 2014 and 2018 I traveled to Havana several times with Amigo Skate, a volunteer group dedicated to promoting skateboarding and the arts among Cuba’s youth. During those trips I helped organize music and art events and assisted with Havana’s first Go Skateboarding Day on June 21, 2015 — an event that has since become an annual tradition. In 2018 there was a documentary made about our group entitled Amigo Skate, Cuba. I contributed as a camera operator for the film.
